About Centre Luna Yoga
Centre Luna Yoga is located amongst the boutiques, restaurants
and offices of the business district in Old Montreal. It occupies
a large open space, filled with natural light and vibrant energy.
With high ceilings and 10 foot high windows looking out onto St-Paul
Street, the mood is peaceful and serene.
With the strong support of family, friends, and students,
owner Jennifer Maagendans and co-manager/life partner
Jason Kent opened the studio in July 2003. It has now
become a sanctuary in Old Montreal offering a calm and soothing
atmosphere for people to learn about, and discover, the path
of Yoga.
Yoga = union. Yoga is a spiritual practice that reminds
us of the oneness of all beings. Practices include asanas
(postures that enable the practitioner to gain greater flexibility,
strength and coordination), pranayama (controlled breathing
exercises) and meditation (focusing the mind's attention).
The body and mind are challenged and used to come back to
our natural state of peace and happiness.
The studio is open 7 days a week, offering a unique approach
to yoga that incorporates peace and joy into a dynamic and active
Vinyasa-style practice. This invigorating and challenging flow encourages
openness with constant breath awareness, an overall sense of bliss
and peace, and a deep connection to the earth and to each other. Other
